Join us to learn about invasive species, their impacts in Wisconsin, tools to identify, and how you can help researchers by mapping your findings. The WI First Detector Network (WIFDN) is a citizen science network that empowers people to take action against invasive species through invasive species monitoring, management, and outreach. In this session, WIFDN will give you the tools to identify invasive species and introduce you to the Great Lakes Early Detection Network invasive species reporting app. Information submitted to the app becomes part of a national database providing information for land manages and researchers. Please bring a brown bag dinner and be prepared to spend time outside.
